INDEPENDENT THINKING

Updated: Sep 18, 2022

In a fast-forwarding world one thing which is catatonic in nature is Time. Human mankind is facing unprecedented revolutions, we are living in a world where it flooded with enormous amounts of information even the censors doesn’t try to block it. 21st Century is the age of information people around the globe spend their life time in Wikipedia, ted talks, you tube videos, online classes these countless click away keep people always engaged. Besides these politics, science & law becomes one of the boring subjects of all time compare to funny videos & celebrity gossip. In such a world the very meaning of "being human" is likely to mutate, the communist manifesto declared in 1848 “all that is solid melts into air” many people thought it was social and economic structures are going to change but it’s not only that even the physical and cognitive structures of humankind will also melt into air or into a cloud of data bits. Nobody can predict the changes rather we will witness it. Back in the days of Socrates or Swami Vivekananda prophets, philosophers for thousands and thousands of years they urge the people to know themselves, one of the oldest advice “know thyself”. In the era of manipulation people often tend to mess up the events and their by it outcomes for eg: right from the politics, right from the product we buy everything comes from the commercial advertisement and there is been an ideological algorithm behind it. The very basis of Culture, Society everything is shaping in the form of organized data. Independent thinking in Indian structure is always a debated topic many often doesn’t accept the idea of Ambedkar. In Ambedkar’s view freedom of mind is the real freedom a person whose mind is not free though, he may not be in chains is a slave, not a free man. One whose mind is not free though, he may not in prison is a prisoner and not a free man. One whose mind is not free though alive, is no better than dead. Freedom of mind is the proof of one’s existence. A free man is who know about his rights, responsibilities and duties. Back then people were fighting for their rights and duties in a democratic state, in the contemporary world people are fighting for the state propagandas. As technology and machine learning are shaping the world often people are manipulated and controlled over their deepest emotions and desires and their by the history and culture of the nation is also slowly taken into manipulation. Nobody knows whether history is going to repeat itself or not because the very idea of history itself is questionable in contemporary world. In todays world every side of the history is debated, the ruler as well the oppressed we have points on both sides. From Nelson Mandela to Ambedkar, notable leaders have not only struggled for the abolition of hierarchical class provided they want to liberate the true spirit of independent thinking. In many countries draconian cultural practice and discriminations are still practiced and often people doesn’t think of its relevancy in todays period. The idea of independent thinking in todays world is not only about knowing yourself also the environment you live in. Understanding the nature as well the human kind, the human needs and wants are going to shape the future. We live in the era of hacking humans, to have control of personal existence. In the near future it is very important to know your organic operating system that is to know yourself before Amazon, Google finds you. Better find yourself and create the environment you want for.
